Rangi rocks rock in tune with the spirit of the wearer.

A forever artist. Needing to create with colour is a constant in my life. For decades portrait painting was my strength, followed by a period of painting humourous religious icons, depicting the child Jesus as a boy with toys in a modern world.

Currently my passion is for the wonderful coloured stones collected over 2 years from the Cantabrian Rangitata River mouth where I lived for a time. Back home with me in Kapiti, many of them are being cut and polished to form pendant shape cabochons, while others are using their natural form .
I lovingly wire wrap my stones to bring out their best shape, colour and lights.

As a unique individual, I tend to look at my jewellery in the same way. All one off pieces, and all have a combined mineral history.

This is me and these works are a reflection of me.
