Walnut Platter

Turned on the lathe from a slap of Walnut, this timber was grown in Central Otago, it was felled about 30 years ago and has been sitting in a shed since then. I obtained it and turned it into this and other platters. it has fabulous tones and grains. It could be used for serving cheeses, chips and dips or as decorative piece on a hallway table, or just hung on the wall to be enjoyed. Finished with food save wax and rice bran oil.
