'Listen' - 4 x 12 inch, acrylic and mixed media on canvas

The text reads: “Listen to your heart. It knows all things, because it came from the Soul of the World and it will one day return there.”

This piece is part of my ‘Heart Strings’ series – a reflection on our personal journeys toward discovering what matters and recognising what calls to you from within.

Each piece is rich in colour, pattern and texture and has a burnished look created to give a feeling of warmth and age which I love. The text is from Paulo Coelho’s inspiring novel ‘The Alchemist’ - a beautiful fable about a young shepherd who embarks on a great journey in search of his dreams.

Painted on gallery style canvas, the sides are painted black and the piece is finished with a coat of matte varnish for protection. There is a small hole drilled in the back so the piece is ready to hang and I have signed and dated the back of the painting.
